Sentence - a number of words referring to an action or condition that expresses a complete thought.
Terminal point - a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark which indicates the end of a sentence.
Punctuation allows our writing to breathe. Without it, our reader would be forced to take in every word everywhere all at once—an exhausting prospect.
Originally, punctuation marks were used in written English to tell a speaker when to pause while reading a text out loud. However, Over time punctuation marks have co-evolved with grammar to indicate how different parts of speech relate to one another.
