Speaker - the voice of a poem which the listener hears when a poem is recited.
Line - a single line of poetic verse.
Stanza - a number of lines of verse that are thematically linked (much like a paragraph of writing).
From Greek poets chanting The Odyssey around campfires almost three thousand years ago to hip hop artists filling modern stadiums, poetry is a part of the story of humanity. That said, for those of us who are not naturally drawn to it, poetry can be a little daunting.
